Gorillaz co-founder, Jamie Hewlett has been dropping some serious hints via Instagram that a new album is definitely in the works.  The new highly anticipated Gorrilaz album has some big shoes to fill after their hit albums Plastic Beach & Demon Days.

The graphic designer who formed the virtual band back in 1998 along with Damon Albarn, announced just over a year ago of that Gorillaz were officially out of retirement. It seems that he is staying true to his word as the recent pictures clearly show the former Blur frontman, Albarn in a studio session.

Another post from Jamie Hewlett‘s instagram shows one possible collaborator Liam Bailey singing an upbeat tune which may be a sign of what’s to come from their first musical release since The Fall in 2011.  It’s safe to say that the group seems full steam ahead as we await the launch of the next Gorillaz album.
