Drake Drops Two Singles: Pop Style and One Dance

Drake Drops Two Singles: Pop Style and One Dance

Drake Views From The Six

As Drake’s highly anticipated ‘Views From The 6’ is set to be released any day now the 6 God has dropped two tracks to wet our appetites.  He’s even gone as far as to drop what seems to be the cover art for the album on a London hotel as seen in the picture below, the same image from his “Summer Sixteen” release.

Pop Style’ featuring The Throne (yes, THE Throne) is the first time we’ve heard both Kanye and Jay Z on a track from almost 5 years. Despite Jay only spitting two lines it’s refreshing to know that he is still stepping into the studio and might be a sign of something to come, but I wouldn’t hold your breath.

Drake and ‘Ye showcase two strong bars over the top of a dark, bass-heavy beat which is slowly becoming a signature of Drake’s. Mr West has been very outspoken about Drake recently and it’s about time we were able to see the two collaborate on a track which hasn’t happened since Big Sean’s ‘Blessings’ was released just over a year ago.

Reverting back to singing Drake’s second release, ‘One Dance’ is almost on the opposite side of the scale. The upbeat, African influence track features Filipino singer, Kyla and Nigerian born artist Wizkid.

This is not the first time the Canadian rapper has collaborated with Wizkid as he remixed his track, ‘Ojuelegba’ along with British MC Skepta.

If this is an indication as to how Views will sound, then it looks like we’re in for one hell of an album; it really can’t come soon enough.
