Music has always been about collaboration; nothing has ever been recorded by just one person. Nowadays fellow artists are welcomed to tweak each other’s tracks and create a whole other sound. One example is Halpe’s original track, ‘Emerald’ which has been altered several times but one that stands out above the rest is Kuiter’s remix.
Sometimes in music you’ll get an artist or group that will come along and change the sound forever, and A Tribe Called Quest definitely fit into that category. Unfortunately, that group is now one member down as the legendary Mike ‘Phife Dawg’ Taylor passed away due to complications with his type 2 mellitus Diabetes.
These are my thoughts on Soundcloud Pro, and some might disagree but it is an opinion. And I’m titled to my opinion. However, I feel inclined to speak up for the community that has long since been with the platform. I mean hell, we all remember community meet up days right? Or Nah?
I have to say, this year has been absolutely amazing. 2015 was great and all, we had a progressive year in politics (what? Fear the Bern!?), music (gotta love it), and manners (maybe, maybe not). I do have to say that no matter how you spent your New Years, at least you had the opportunity to live it. Some don’t get that opportunity. But not to be a a downer, let’s get on with the real reason you’re here. You’re here for the juice, you lika the juice EH!?
I haven’t had a feeling of excitement for a electronic producer since Cashmere Cat emerged from the scene about 2 years ago. Something about Lido’s ability to infuse synths, percussion sounds, and quick attack stabs just has me on the edge of my seat.
